Gender At 16 Weeks. Did anyone find out the gender of baby at 16 weeks via ultrasound. Photo Gallery of Baby Boy Ultrasound Images. 16 weeks is a little on the early side. At my 16 week gender scan I was told 99 girl and now at my 20 week scan have been told a boy again.
I had a consultant scan at 16 weeks due to previous genetically problematic pregnancy and the consultant told me what she saw no problem. However its not until 14 or 15 weeks that you can clearly begin to see the differentiated genitalia. I would assume you will have another sono at around 20 weeks as this is the norm. I really wanted a girl as already have a boy but worrying their going to turn around and say we are having a boy at 20 week scan. Often be seen by weeks 18 to 20 the presence of male genitalia including testicles scrotum and penis is the irrefutable sign of male gender. That would be more accurate.

I had my gender ultrasound on Saturday at 15 weeks 5 days. Have another ultrasound booked at 19 weeks and dont want the gender to be wrong if we tell them on Christmas. But just because you are able to learn the sex that day does not necessarily mean you will get to. With our first child we kept the sex of the baby a surprise but decided to find out this time so we can prepare our little one Im now wondering whether a surprise is the better option. However its not until 14 or 15 weeks that you can clearly begin to see the differentiated genitalia. Boys and girls genitals develop along the same path with no outward sign of gender until about nine weeks.
